About the Role:
Silver State Sports Medicine is looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Medical Coordinator to be the welcoming face of our practice in Henderson, NV. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient experiences while keeping our medical office running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a warm and professional front desk experience
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays/deductibles/co-insurance at time of service
- Maintain and update accurate patient records and demographic information in the EHR system
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and relay messages to clinical staff
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and communication with insurance providers
- Ensure front desk area is organized, stocked, and compliant with HIPAA privacy standards
Requirements:
- 2+ years of front desk or administrative experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology, EHR/EMR systems, and insurance verification processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Proficient in multi-line phone systems, scheduling software, and basic computer applications
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare administration degree a plus

Compensation: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
About Dr. Rosenberg
Dr. Rosenberg is originally from Hastings, Nebraska. He went to medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and from there went on to complete his residency in Family Medicine at Iowa Lutheran Hospital and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
He took his first job as a Team Physician for Ohio University in Athens, Ohio in 2005. He worked as the Team Physician and also had a Primary Care and Sports Medicine practice. In 2010 he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and worked in a private sports medicine practice.
Dr. Rosenberg moved to Nevada in 2013 to work as the Head Team Physician for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the Sports Medicine Fellowship Director for the medical school. He served in that role for 5 years. During that time he also became a Team Physician for the Vegas Golden Knights where he served in that capacity for eight years. He became a Team Physician for the Las Vegas Raiders upon their arrival in Las Vegas in 2020 and currently still serves in that role. In addition to his work with professional athletes he also serves as the Medical Director for Cirque du Soleil and Spiegelworld working with their professional performers. Dr. Rosenberg also works as a medical consultant for the NBA Summer League here in Las Vegas.
Dr. Rosenberg has been in private practice since 2018 and in 2022 he decided to open his own practice, Silver State Sports Medicine.
